The Douglas Mennonites

The Douglas Mennonites are well known for their high-level of traditional craftsmanship.

Located an hour west of Ottawa, this unique cultural sect excels in agriculture, building and handcrafted wooden products. Given the nature of their beliefs (no technology) their story is best told in-person, by visiting one of their many road-side stands located in the Douglas area.
